What a "dark" game.
Ode to a Moon
A downloadable game for Windows
Ode to a Moon
A PSYCHOTRONIC ADVENTURE
FOLLOWING THE MYSTERIOUS AFTERMATH
OF A GRIM HARVEST FESTIVAL
GONE HORRIBLY WRONG!
Ode to a Moon is a first person cosmic horror game currently in development. As photo-journalist for a popular tabloid, you’re tasked with covering a historic fall festival in a far away rural town during a centennial lunar eclipse. Camera in hand you set off to that romantic hamlet only to discover the macabre fallout of a town's descent into madness. It was inspired by real events and the belief that truth is stranger than fiction.

Really cool looking game and super music. Plays well with no problems. Good job... :)
I'm not sure what happened, but I really enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing how the game continues in the future!
Muy buena ambientación, lo unico que me perdí mucho en la parte del bosque que no hay mucha referencia para ubicarte. Pero el juego en sí muy bueno.

This is a very cool, and very strange game. I love cosmic horror and this one was pretty good. No sure what happened, but I enjoyed it. Thanks for making this demo!
Well done, developer!
I honestly don't remember the 80's being as weird as everyone makes out lol. but hey cool wee game you have here
Game was very cool!
This is nothing I haven't seen before, with the psychedelic nature of the game and the strange warping environment, but what really sets Ode to a Moon apart is how beautiful it is. This experience perfectly encapsulates how something strange and unsettling can also be awe-inspiring and beautiful. This isn't a game, this is a work of art.
Loved it. Looking forward to seeing similar pieces of work.
VERY INTERESTING GAME.
beautiful game. Love all of your work. I was wondering what the real events were that inspired this game?
Played this for a 4 free indie horrors, and was VERY interested in the universe of the game. It has a very colorful scheme to it, which (While a little hard on the eyes at times) Was really cool looking and added a nice level of mystery to the game as a whole. If you're looking for feedback, I give plenty of that at the end of my video in the "Review Portion"
Put your game into another Indie Romp, almost didn't realize you made the "Be Calm" game too! You've Got a way with colors my dude!! Hope you enjoy the videoYour game starts at the 14:11 mark

Thank you! Yes at the moment it's an early alpha, the plan is to make it a longer experience :)
Best cosmic horror of any medium I've experienced for years.
This was simply fantastic. I would play this again, just to listen to the sounds and stare into that beautiful forest. You have created a work of art. Great job!
Man this game was really trippy! Interesting concept tbh, I'd love to see how it all turns out... and who/what was that at the end!?
This is one of the most visually stunning games I've ever played. I must have said it 50 times through my playthrough, but I really loved this. Would love to see a longer version.
Here's my playthrough:
I really appreciate it :) Thank you! Yes the plan is to make it a longer experience, fingers crossed!
Man, I was getting lost in the maze after the eclipse, found my way out at long last -
it's a tough maze right? I've gotten lost in it as well haha. That section was a bit more linear before but figured I should make it more interesting. Thanks for playing!
great game that is on LSD lol. i like it. any updates in the future?
btw here is my video :)
Thank you! Yes the plan is to make it a larger experience with a bigger emphasis on narrative, so fingers crossed ;)
system requirement please
Fun Demo, Cant wait to see more.
hi, big thx for the cool weird demo :) greetings from germany
Loved the retro vhs style of the game very cool trippy experience
What an interesting and creepy experience! Absolutely loved the intro and the atmosphere! Great work, looking forward to more!
Hey I met you, this game is awesome. COME BACK TO SEATTLE
Enjoyed this tutti fruti experience A LOT!
Thanks for the fun :)
REALLY STRANGE GAME, BUT I LIKE THE CONCEPT!
Just tried the demo. I can tell there was a lot of work done on the atmosphere, great job! The audio work is also nice so far, keep it up! I could maybe recommend a delay in frequency with the cricket noise when you come out of the trolley. The colors and effects are solid. Sometimes you can see out of world, but the screen distortions generally hide it.
The path was mostly intuitive regardless of the world warping, although I couldn’t find my way after the Eclipse. After searching in circle for a couple of minutes I gave up as the visibility is also very poor and I had no way to know if it was the end of the demo. Not necessarily handholding, but a little more guidance at this step may be beneficial.
Love your style, I’ll go see more. Followed : )
Thank you! Yes that part after the eclipse is a really confusing maze that you have to navigate in search of an exit. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback :)
I liked this because it was a bit different, really trippy 😂
awesome game like it a lot and hope to see more and more games from you in the future!!
Thank you! You should check out my past games if you digged this :)
I like the concept is nice, specially the art style of the game :) 100/100
The game looks fantastic. As far as story goes i have no idea what happened xD
A relaxing horror game?
I'm really really looking forward for this game.
The concept is nice, specially the art style of the game.
Looking very good, as I said in the video, love the VHS look to it and the kinda weirdness of it all hope to see and play a full game, nice job colorfiction!
